Adapted from a popular Japanese comic, the debut of "Meteor Garden" has successfully brought Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, Vanness Wu of F4 and Barbie Xu to fame. Now you can enjoy Taiwan's heavyweights again as they return in the explosive sequel, which is one of the talk-of-town TV dramas this year.

The story happens in Spain where the pair of Jerry and Barbie spend their high-school graduation trip. Unfortunately, Jerry loses his memory after a car accident and meets Michelle. Episode 1

To celebrate their graduation from Ying De University, F4 decides to go to Spain and Dao Ming Si demands that Shan Cai go with him. They are a loving couple, despite frequent punctuated arguments that F3 is, by now, so used to. At the airport, Shan Cai forgets her passport, which is quickly brought to her by her mother and Ching Her, but since Ah Si yelled at her, she does not want to go anymore. And then Ah Si does the totally unexpected: he apologizes. F3 then surprises them with their plan of letting Ah Si and Shan Cai go by themselves on a sort of honeymoon. Hua Ze Lei gives Ah Si a letter and tells him to open it in Spain.

Barcelona is the perfect city for the two lovers, even though they nearly lose each other in a plaza as Ah Si takes too long to buy her a balloon. Ah Si tells Shan Cai that if he ever loses her again, she must stay in the last place he saw her and he will find her. Lei's letter tells Ah Si of a church with legendary blessings on lovers and how he wanted to propose to Jing in the church; he asks Ah Si to propose to Shan Cai in the church to fulfill his legend. Ah Si arranges the proposal asks Shan Cai to meet him there while he buys a meteor ring that Shan Cai was admiring in a market. As he drives to the church, Ah Si is so excited he takes the ring out to look at it. Distracted, he swerves to avoid another car, making him lose control and turn over. As he lies unconscious and bleeding on the street, Shan Cai is patiently waiting for him in the church.


Episode 2

Ye Sha is a Chinese mestiza living in Spain as an artist. It was her car that nearly bumped into Ah Si's and she takes him to the hospital. Shan Cai waits a long time at the church, even thinking that Ah Si is playing a joke on her. She returns to the hotel and after a while, calls Teng Tang Jing, who is working in Spain. Shan Cai discovers Lei's letter and weeps over Ah Si's plan, because he did not have to propose to her in that church, anywhere would do. They try to find Ah Si to no avail, and finally decide to call F3. F3 arrives in Spain and starts to look for Ah Si. They get impatient as the days go by with no news. Jing tries to resurrect any old feelings from Lei, who now seems so grown up, but he ignores her, concentrating only on Shan Cai. Mei Zhuo and Xi Men eventually find out from the police about the car accident that involved an unidentified Chinese man and they all go to the hospital where the reports say the man was taken to.

Ah Si has amnesia. Infuriated by his loss of memory, he is violent to Ye Sha and walks out of the hospital on his own. When Ye Sha discovers him gone, she runs out after him, passing F3, Jing, and Shan Cai in the hospital corridor. Ye Sha finally sees Ah Si and follows him, slowly convincing him he should go home with her.


Episode 3

Ah Si does not remember a single thing about his past. Although he can not remember why, he finds himself constantly looking at the stars. Ye Sha notices this and names him Ah Xing (xing is Mandarin for star). Ye Sha lives in a wine hub and patiently tries to get Ah Si out of his shell. She succeeds when an attact symptomatic of an illness she has comes on and faints, making Ah Si frantically call for help. Ye Sha and her friend Sha Ge celebrate the first words out of Ah Si's mouth and make him drink wine. He surprises them that he seems to be a connoiseur; Ah Si is surprised that knowing good wine is not common knowledge. They decide from the way he speaks that he must come from Taiwan.

Meanwhile, Shan Cai and F3 suspect that Dao Ming Si was kidnapped by Dao Ming Feng, in order to separate him from Shan Cai. They contact her at first to confront her but in her despair, Shan Cai promises to leave Ah Si alone if Dao Ming Feng sets her son free. Dao Ming Feng, not knowing that her son was missing, finds this as a good opportunity to regain her son, so she lies to Shan Cai and agrees to it.


Episode 4

Dao Ming Feng hires investigators to find her son and goes to Spain to fetch him. She wants to create a new personality for him, telling him that his name is David Dao Ming and he is an American. Ah Si thinks this is weird since he knows that he is Taiwanese and not an American but Ye Sha convinces him to go back with Dao Ming Feng. Everything with Dao Ming Feng feels wrong though, especially when his mother would not answer any of his questions. He picks up the phone to call Ye Sha and overhears Dao Ming Feng give instructions about destroying all traces of her son's past. Ah Si grabs his passport and at the first chance, escapes from his mother. He goes back to Ye Sha and tells her he has to go back to Taiwan to recover his memory on his own.

At the airport, F3 and Shan Cai again nearly see Ah Si, but Xi Men discovers from Che Che that Ah Si is not in New York. They conclude that they are being tricked by Dao Ming Feng. SHan Cai is convinved that she must stay in the last place Ah Si saw her and refuses to leave Barcelona. Mei Zhuo and Xi Men decide to go to New York then to Taiwan to find out all they can, while Lei stays behind with Shan Cai and they spend their days waiting at the church.


Episode 5

Dao Ming Si and Ye Sha arrive in Taiwan, they stay with a friend of Sha Ge's. One night, a thief breaks into their room and steals the meteor ring; Ye Sha and Ah Si try to stop him but he manages to get away when Ah Si rescues Ye Sha from falling down the stairs. That night, thinking he is asleep, Ye Sha tells him over and over again that she is sorry for everything.

In Spain, Shan Cai panics that she cannot remember which side on Ah Si's face is his dimple. She asks Lei, who tells her that his dimple is in her heart. She tries to stand on her head to stop from crying, and chides Lei for lying to her as her tears could not be held back.

In Taiwan, Ye Sha comes up with a plan to post Ah Si's face in a newspaper ad. Shan Cai's parents see this but do not believe that it is him until Mei Zhuo and Xi Men visit them with the news. They call Lei and Shan Cai with the news that they have found Ah Si. Zhong Zhe sees the ad first however and manages to drug Ah Si and Ye Sha, with a plan to ransom them out to Dao Ming Feng. Ye Sha manages to stab Zhong Zhe and escapes with Ah Si. The next day, Dao Ming Feng arrives at the house at the same time as F3 and Shan Cai to discover Zhong Zhe. Dao Ming Feng announces that they are all useless as Ah Si has lost his memory and remembers none of them, then blaming them for letting vengeful people like Zhong Zhe hurt her son. Before Dao Ming Feng leaves, Shan Cai tells her that just like her, she will not give up on Dao Ming Si.


Episode 6

Ye Sha and Ah Si spend the night in a park; they do not want to return to the house. Sha Ge's friend advises them to rent from a disgruntled old lady that Ah Si manages to charm when he ties her shoes for her. They call her Popo, even if she told them not to. The room is empty though and they manage to fill it with furniture they find in a garbage dump.

Shan Cai spends a lot of time by herself, frequently visiting the room Ah Si had just left. She decides to write on the wall: "Dao Ming Si, I know that you are on the road, on your way home to me. I will wait for you. I will wait for you forever." She sees an electronic billboard and inquires how much to put up an ad and is appalled at how expensive it is. She takes on another job after her work at the Italian Tomato, which requires her to wear an ugly outfit and sing stupid drinking songs. She is so busy and tired that she has no time for F3 who constantly call her. Lei texts her, "Is the snail standing on her head or hiding in her shell?"

Ye Sha and Ah Si needs money also. Ye Sha joins a drinking contest and wins, though she gets really drunk. Ah Si takes care of her. Popo sees their efforts and takes only part of the rent money, saying they need it more. The two go shopping and buy too many coconuts that were on sale.


Episode 7

Ah Si is surprised that everyone in Taiwan knows about the Dao Ming family, even the people you ask off the street. While checking out one of the buildings of the Dao Ming Corporation, they almost run into Dao Ming Feng. Ye Sha starts to tail her and figure out her schedule, letting them plan the best time to visit the Dao Ming mansion. They manage to get inside but Dao Ming Feng is alerted and she orders her guards to capture her son. With the help of Auntie Jade, Ah Si and Ye Sha manage to escape, bringing with them a photo of F4. Ye Sha investigates who the boys in the photo are and where to find them.

Meanwhile, F3 are about to scold Shan Cai for avoiding them and discover that she is trying to make money for the electronic billboard. They surprise her by paying for it themselves and she feels her hope on every billboard in Taiwan. Unfortunately, Shan Cai's phone is besieged by prank calls, upsetting F3. Ah Si sees the billboards and musters up courage to call Shan Cai but when he does, he encounters an irate Mei Zhuo screaming at him. Ah Si decides that his friends are not nice after all. Still, Ye Sha pretends she is a student doing research and chats Mei Zhuo up to get information about Ah Si's past. She finds out where F3 hangs out.


Episode 8

Ye Sha brings Ah Si to a pub where F3 hangs out and convinces Ah Si to stay. By himself, he watches his old friends from a distance. F3 are as usual worried about how to find Ah Si. An old girlfriend is even unable to flirt with Xi Men; guys from the next table start heckling her and Xi Men is able to hold back a now hotheaded Mei Zhuo until one of them starts to make fun of F4, because they are now the "Funny 3." Mei Zhuo throws the first punch and a rumble erupts. Lei gives the bartender money for damages to the bar and F3 start to leave when the drunkard lunges at Mei Zhuo with a bottle. He is stopped by Ah Si. F3 is happy to see him but he runs away from them, insisting that he hates his past and who he used to be. Lei screams at him that he can hate his past but he cannot hate Shan Cai. Ah Si has by then ran too far away and does not hear him.

Mei Zhuo takes Shan Cai to the seaside and tells her about seeing Ah Si. Shan Cai tells him as long as Ah Si is okay, then she is happy. She tells him that they must stop dwelling on the past and move on with their lives. They agree to always "Play up!" Meanwhile, Ah Si decides to make a clean start with his life and forget his past forever. He starts looking for a job but is always turned away until he helps out in a breakfast canteen. It looks promising and he works hard, but the boss would not hire him because he can not even fry an egg. Ah Si is determined to get that job and, with the help of Ye Sha, practices in Popo's kitchen.


Episode 9

Ah Si and Ye Sha go back to the canteen and she demands an egg cooked for her by Ah Si. Yi Lin, the boss' girlfriend, is impressed by Ah Si's determination and hires him, to the boss' chagrin. On Valentine's Day, they coax Ah Si to make her a special dinner, which Ah Si agrees to because he feels much gratitude to her. The dinner is very romantic, with many creative touches from Ah Si, and he tells her how much she means to him.

Meanwhile, Ching Her tries to ask Shan Cai out on a date but she had committed to working both shifts at the bakery that day and was too busy to pay him attention. He hatches a plan to greet Shan Cai on the radio and tries to involve F3 but they all reject it. So instead, he does the dedication himself. He picks Shan Cai up after work and pretends to get soda as the dedication comes on. Alone, Shan Cai hears Ching Her's dedication read by the DJ, about how she asked for half his punishment in middle school and how he wishes to bear half her sadness now, and it makes her cry. Ching Her sees her crying and decides that F3 was right about it being a stupid idea. Then, F3, who had been listening, each call the station to give her their own messages. Xi Men tells her to keep smiling because she is prettier when she smiles. Mei Zhuo yells, "Play up!" And Lei plays a tape of a young Dao Ming Si orating how he wished to protect his family, F3, and his future bride. Shan Cai starts weeping harder.


Episode 10

Ah Si meets Ah Liang, an old teacher from Ying De, and helps him change his tires. He asks Ah Liang why he is afraid of him and tells him that he is now different. Meanwhile, Shan Cai and Ye Sha finally meet as they coincidentally both punch a man they saw harassing another girl on the bus. They become friends and Ye Sha even gets a job in the bakery Shan Cai works. Ye Sha tells Ah Si about Shan Cai and asks him to meet her. Then, a pain from her cancer overwhelms her and Ah Si runs out to buy her medicine only to discover that the stores are closed. He returns to bring Ye Sha to the hospital and discovers that Popo had given her medicine already. Ye Sha laughs it off but agrees to go to the hospital the next time she feels pain when she sees that Ah Si had run out without any shoes.

He tells her he would not know what to do if he lost her. The next day, Shan Cai buys oranges for her boss and sees Ah Si on the street, on his way to pick Ye Sha up and meet her "new friend." She follows him. He gets on a bus and there she is sure that it is Dao Ming Si. The bus pulls away and she runs after it; she screams his name but he cannot hear her because he is wearing a discman. She falls to the ground, crying. Meanwhile, Ah Si takes Ye Sha to their old house to get her art supplies which they had left behind, so that she can still paint. There, they discover Shan Cai's messages to Ah Si writen on the wall. Ye Sha leaves Ah Si as he tries to rack his brain for his memory of Shan Cai.


Episode 11

Ye Sha seeks out her only friend besides Ah Si; she and Shan Cai talk over their heartaches, not knowing that they are speaking of the same person. Ye Sha decides to "return" Ah Si to the woman who must still love him, telling him that she is an innocent in this situation, but Ah Si tells her that all he knows is who he loves now. Ye Sha insists she leaves and he takes her to the train station and tells her not to look back at him when she goes so that he will remember what her back looks like. She still looks back at him though and it makes him run after her. He discovers her sitting on a bench and she tells him she remembered that it was her responsibility to get his memory back. He embraces her.

Ching Her chivalrously helps out a girl who is not able to pay for her tuition in Ying De. Her name is Mimi; Ching Her has a good feeling about her. Meanwhile, Xi Men is now the managing director of his family's company. He goes out for lunch and sees Ah si mopping up the floor of the breakfast canteen. He asks to talk to him and Ah Si agrees. As Xi Men asks him if he needs anything, Ah Si abruptly tells him that he needs for them to leave him alone. Shan Cai gets an order from Mr. Gao for a birthday cake to be delivered to Ms. Zhang. Ms. Zhang turns out to be Popo, who rejects the cake and a bunch of other cakes piled up in front of her house. She tries to call Mr. Gao but cannot find him. She decides to look for him because she feels it is dishonest to take his money for a rejected cake.


Episode 12

Shan Cai looks for Mr. Gao in his building but nobody seems to know him. An old man she had helped outside the building sees her searching for Mr. Gao and takes her to his office - he is Mr. Gao, president of the company. He likes Shan Cai because she was nice to him even if she thought he was an old man on the street. Consequently, Dao Ming Feng was impatiently waiting for him to arrive and, to her consternation, he tells her he can not see her because he has an important meeting with Shan Cai.

Ah Si prepares a birthday coconut for Popo and she tells him to take care of her house when she leaves for Canada. She also tells him to take good care of Ye Sha. When Ye Sha discovers that Shan Cai's rude lady is Popo, she investigates why Popo returns all his cakes. Mr. gao had been her old boyfriend and they broke up because he got too busy for her to remember her favorite cake. Ye Sha tells Shan Cai and she disrupts another meeting with Dao Ming Feng as Mr. Gao takes Shan Cai with him to look for the sponge cake he had eaten with Popo thirty years ago; he had promised to buy her all the sponge cake she wanted when he became rich and is sad that he had actually forgotten that promise. The next day, Ye Sha and Ah Si try to stall Popo's leaving for Canada so that Shan Cai can return with Mr. Gao and the sponge cake. The elderly couple reunite and Shan Cai, seeing this, runs away in tears, missing Ah Si again. Popo thanks Ye Sha for her efforts to get them back together and says she is still leaving for Canada, but this time, Mr. Gao will go with her.


Episode 13

Mr. Gao tells Shan Cai and Dao Ming Feng that thanks to Shan Cai, he has found the most important thing in his life and now agrees to the merger with Dao Ming Corporation. Dao Ming Feng tells Shan Cai to ask her one favor because Dao Ming Feng is too proud to owe Shan Cai for anything. Shan Cai turns her down. At work, Ye Sha asks Shan Cai to go watch the stars with her. Then, Dao Ming Si enters the bakery and Shan Cai shouts his name in her surprise. Ye Sha realizes they know each other and Shan Cai admits only that they met in Ying De University. Ye Sha convinces the two to buy snacks for their trip while she watches the bakery.

Xi Men tells Mei Zhuo about seeing Ah Si working in a breakfast canteen, about how Ah Si told him he wants to be left alone in his present life. Distressed, Mei Zhuo calls Shan Cai but she had left her cellphone at the bakery and Ye Sha answers the call. To stress that it is urgent his call is returned, Mei Zhuo tells her to tell Shan Cai he has news of Dao Ming Si and Ye Sha discovers that Shan Cai is Dao Ming Si's girlfriend.

Shan Cai is stunned to see Dao Ming Si. While they walk back to the bakery, Dao Ming Si decides to ask her if he had a girlfriend in Ying De. Shan Cai asks him if he remembers anything about a girlfriend and he says no, he is just curious about a message left for him. He tells her to forget about it but Shan Cai breaks down and repeats the message she wrote on the wall for Dao Ming Si, confirming that she is the girlfriend in Ying De, the same girl who will wait for him forever. He panics and rushes off to find Ye Sha, leaving Shan Cai crying in the street. The next day, Ye Sha asks Shan Cai to meet her and gently confronts her about Dao Ming Si.


Episode 14

Shan Cai did not want to tell Ye Sha about her real relationship with Dao Ming Si, but Ye Sha tells her she already knows and takes Shan Cai bowling. She tells Shan Cai to knock down all the pins as if they were all the obstacles between her and Dao Ming Si, but Shan Cai's ball rolls into the gutter. Ye Sha knocks down the pins herself, announcing that she will help remove those obstacles. She tries to put up a brave face when she says goodbye to Shan Cai but Shan Cai runs after her to find her crying. They embrace as they say their goodbyes.

Mei Zhuo goes to the breakfast canteen and tells Dao Ming Si that if he really likes his present life so much, he will have no choice about having Mei Zhuo in it anyway. He then starts helping his friend clear tables and take orders from the customers. They later play a game of basketball and Mei Zhuo is impressed with the new, more open-minded, yet still determined Ah Si. Meanwhile, Xi Men is also working hard, but is belittled by his father in front of his employees. Xi Men's staff can see the injustice, though, and assure their boss that they will work overtime with him if he needs them to.

On Shan Cai's mother's birthday, Shan Cai's father borrows a car to take her around in. The company accuses him of stealing the car right before he returns it and try to take him to the police station. Hua Ze Lei arrives in time to save him by pretending that he booked the car from Shan Cai's dad and asked him to take it for a test drive. With the car and all her troubles, Shan Cai leans on Lei and tells him how glad she is that he is back. The next day, Dao Ming Si discovers that Ye Sha had gone and confronts Shan Cai, accusing her of making Ye Sha go away. Shan Cai slaps him.


Episode 15

Bothered by her confrontation with Dao Ming Si, Shan Cai goes to her first day of school with a heavy heart. She feels the absence of F4 until she opens her locker and screams to find a toad waiting for her. A grinning Lei appears; it is a prank to remind her to watch out for what life has in store for her. This firms her resolve to try to wake her Dao Ming Si up so she visits him and gives him her number, telling him that even if he does not want to call her, she will still visit him everyday.

At work, Xi Men impresses everyone with his thorough report and proposal on the marketing strategies of their company and his father leaves him a message that he is proud of his son for proving that his place in the company is founded on more than mere nepotism. Meanwhile, Ye Sha faints on her way to the airport and is taken to the hospital, where they finally discover what is wrong with her. Sha Ge arrives from Spain to take care of her, and are both informed that Ye Sha's condition will worsen after three months. Ye Sha tells Sha Ge that he must accompany her to tour the world while she still can. He does not want her to leave the hospital, but has to agree.

Dao Ming Si has been in the foulest mood after Ye Sha's departure that Da Xin punches him to snap him out of it. Ah Si decides to go to Barcelona to look for her and the breakfast club offer to lend him money for he plane ticket. Then, Dao Ming Feng's secretary asks Dao Ming Si to meet his mother, who proposes to find Ye Sha for him if he comes back home to her. He agrees. When he returns to Popo's house, Shan Cai is waiting for him with a box of things that might help him recover his memory. She asks him to at least try and to call her after looking through them.


Episode 16

Dao Ming Si looks through the box of memories and can not remember anything until he finds the meteor necklace he had given her. His head begins to spin and he quickly puts it back in the box. He calls Popo and apologizes that he cannot watch the house anymore. Then, he calls F3 and asks them to meet him. He cooks them a meal of fried eggs and tells them that he would like to be their friend again, but only if they are willing to be the friend of the new Dao Ming Si. They agree and F4 are reunited again.

Mimi asks Ching Her to dinner to repay his kindness at registration. About half in love with him, she asks him what kind of girl he likes and he starts to describe Shan Cai. When he takes her home before 10 p.m., Mimi is convinced that Ching Her is the man for her. Meanwhile, Sha Ge shows Ye Sha the partner of the meteor ring that was stolen from Ah Si, which Sha Ge found in a flea market in Barcelona. Ye Sha decides to keep the ring for herself as it only brings bad luck to lovers if separated from its partner ring. They start to leave for a faraway province; on the way, Ye Sha asks Sha Ge to check if Shan Cai is happy - if she is, then her leaving Dao Ming Si will not be in vain. While Sha Ge talks to Shan Cai in the bakery, Dao Ming Feng's goons kidnap Ye Sha. Dao Ming Feng tells Ye Sha she knows Ye Sha is a runaway princess and that she wants her son to come home and to augment her family prestige with marriage into royalty.

In a familiar ice cream house, Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai meet but only so that Ah Si can return the box of memories to Shan Cai. He tells her to give up. Shan Cai tells him that if she could give him up, she would have done so a long time ago and that he had once said the same thing to her. All he says to her is these are her memories, not his.


Episode 17

Dao Ming Feng proposes that Ye Sha marry her son for three months to help her financially troubled kingdom and at the same time guarantee that Ah Si comes back to his house and birthright. Ye Sha only agrees after the matriarch says she also plans to let Shan Cai get close to Ah Si under those conditions. At Ying De, Mimi is starting to get close to Ching Her without his noticing. She makes him a picnic lunch which gets rained on. He drags her to a laundromat to get their clothes dried while waiting naked under borrowed blankets; since he does not try to sneak a look at her, she is again convinced that Ching Her is the man for her.

Ah Si comes home to the Dao Ming mansion to find Ye Sha waiting for him. He learns about Ye Sha's true identity and is ecstatic about their engagement when she convinces him she has agreed to marry him because she wants him to be happy. Meanwhile, Sha Ge has looked all over Taiwan for Ye Sha and decides to ask for Shan Cai's help but she is walking around the city by herself, depressed, until Lei calls her. They spend the night talking about whether to lose hope or not and Shan Cai thanks him for being her friend. They fall asleep in his car; when Lei wakes up the next morning, he sadly watches Shan Cai sleep.

When he finally takes her home, they find Sha Ge impatiently waiting outside her house. They help him look for Ye Sha until they see an electronic billboard air a live coverage of the announcement of Dao Ming Si's engagement to Princess Ye Sha of Bhutan.


Episode 18

Shan Cai and Sha Ge try to convince F3 that Ye Sha must have been forced into this engagement and Xi Men agrees that it must be one of Dao Ming Feng's manipulations. They are interrupted by a call for Shan Cai to meet the "queen mother" herself. Dao Ming Feng reminds Shan Cai of the favor that needed to be returned and offers her a job in Dao Ming Corporation, just as she promised Ye Sha. She explains to Shan Cai that both families will profit from the marriage, but as Ye Sha does not love Ah Si, Shan Cai must be around to comfort Ah Si when his marriage has to end. In truth, she has no plan of letting the marriage dissolve but manages to convince Shan Cai to consider the proposal. Ye Sha visits Sha Ge, inviting him to stay at the mansion with her. He refuses and scolds her for trying to deceive him about how unhappy she is. She tells him that no matter what happens, he will always be her best friend.

Shan Cai decides to quit school and work at Dao Ming Corporation. Ching Her is aggrieved over the news and unwittingly passes another test Mimi puts to him as he does not notice how ugly she made herself up. She demands they go out but Ching Her tells her that she become more like Shan Cai. The same night, F3 visit Dao Ming Si and confront him about the engagement; Ah Si happily tells them it was Ye Sha's idea. Although bothered, especially regarding Shan Cai's new job, F3 congratulate him.

Shan Cai begins work the next day as Dao Ming Feng introduces her son and her future daughter-in-law to the company. Ye Sha sneaks Shan Cai out to tell her that she hopes Ah Si will recover his memory soon so that she can be free again and they can all be happy. They promise each other they will not give up. When Shan Cai goes back to the office, she finds Ah Si trying to work the photocopying machine and helps him. He is nice to her and she tells herself this is a good start.


Episode 19

Mimi goes to Shan Cai's house to ask for pointers on how to be more like her. Shan Cai, tired from work, tells her she should just try to be herself. The next day, Dao Ming Si joins Shan Cai for lunch when he sees her eating alone. They talk about work and Ah Si volunteers to help her count inventory since all he does is sign documents all day. Late that afternoon, Ah Si falls accidentally from a ladder which also almost falls on him, but Shan Cai pushes him out of the way and gets hit herself. This triggers a memory where Shan Cai takes a blow for him, covering him when he is about to be hit by a chair. It also causes his head extreme pain and he yells at Shan Cai not to help him recover his memories.

Ye Sha escapes from her bodyguard and hangs out with Da Xin and the breakfast club. She asks if she can get a job there but they tell her the owner decided to take the cafe back as his and soon they will be out of a job. This gives Ye Sha the idea to present them with a breakfast van so that they can work and still travel, like they always dreamt and makes plans with Ah Si. Dao Ming Feng tries to manipulate Ye Sha into appearing at Xi Men's victory party with Ah Si, but she refuses to go. Ye Sha and Ah Si fights over this, which Shan Cai overhears. Ah Si complains to Shan Cai that Ye Sha has changed and Shan Cai comforts him and tells him not to give up. He asks her why she's helping him and she tells him, "I just want you to be happy." Overwhelmed by her kindness, Ah Si embraces Shan Cai.


Episode 20

Shan Cai is too startled by the embrace and her feelings for Dao Ming Si that she works all night and forgets to go to Xi Men's party. At the party, Mei Zhuo eyes a girl, whom Xi Men says is a rich corporate partner's daughter and Mei Zhuo dismisses her as another stupid beauty. Then Xi Men's father arrives, scandalizing his son by bringing his new girlfriend. Xi Men embarasses his father in his thank you speech, praising his patient mother who waits at home for an undeserving husband. When Ah Si arrives without Ye Sha, Xi Men drags them out of the party to go drinking.

Much later, F4 go see Shan Cai at her office. A very drunk Xi Men reprimands Shan Cai for missing his party and demands she drink 3 glasses of wine as punishment. Unused to drinking, Shan Cai barely manages to get the first glass down and suddenly, at once, Ah Si and Lei offer to drink the rest for her. The awkward silence is broken by Mei Zhuo, who is also very drunk and quickly in need of the bathroom. As Lei and Ah Si help Mei Zhuo, Shan Cai and Xi Men have a heart-to-heart talk. When Xi Men gets home, he eats the dinner his mother has waiting for him, even if his stomach hurts. It makes him angrier at his father. The next day, Ah Si fixes up a room in his house as a painting room for Ye Sha, which touches her and makes her guilty for pushing him away. Sha Ge arrives that day at the Dao Ming residence, making Ye Sha happy that she finally has somebody to really talk to. Meanwhile, Xi Men succumbs to his ulcers and is rushed to the hospital.


Episode 21

F3 and Shan Cai visit Xi Men at the hospital and he notices that Shan Cai's eyebags are getting bigger, commenting that the Queen Mother must be making her work too hard. Ah Si asks who do they mean by Queen Mother and they tell him, his mother, which makes him laugh. Ye Sha visits Ah Si to give him the design for the breakfast van, but does not find him in the office. She sees a photo of F4 with Shan Cai on his desk and is happy that her plan is working. Mei Zhuo's mother has chosen her future daughter-in-law and summons him to meet them; it turns out to be Xiao Qiao, the girl he saw in Xi Men's party. He is rude to her because she asks for requests for her to play on her cello and does not know how to play his favorite piece; still his mother is insistent that he at least try to get to know her so he agrees to take her out on a date. Ah Si and Shan Cai eat lunch together again and when he discovers the design for the breakfast van, he rushes to Shan Cai to ask her father to book a van with those specifications. Just as Shan Cai started to feel better about her relationship with Dao Ming Si, she sees the designs and realizes she cannot compare to Ye Sha.

That night, Xi Men finds his dad watching over him in the hospital and the older Xi Men explains exactly what is wrong with his marriage, which is the complete opposite of what Xi Men used to believe. He forgives his father. Meanwhile, Ah Si and Ye Sha talk on the phone and he tells her that F3 calls his mom "Queen Mother." Ye Sha is not listening anymore because the muscles in her arms have stiffened and her condition seems to be getting worse. Mei Zhuo goes out with Xiao Qiao but leaves her so she can go shopping, even giving her money. She gets back at him by spending it on his mother, saying they picked out presents for her together. Infuriated, Mei Zhuo takes Xiao Qiao to a club and introduces her to two of his other "girlfriends." The two girls mock her and say she is not Mei Zhuo's type of girl.


Episode 22

Xiao Qiao decides to show Mei Zhuo that she can be the kind of girl he wants and starts undressing in the club. He grabs her and takes her home. When he reprimands her, she tells him he cannot get rid of her that easily. Xi Men comes home and urges his parents to eat dinner with him. That night, his father agrees to give his wife the divorce she had been asking for. As he drinks away his sorrows, Xi Men joins him and comforts him that he has not lost everything he loves; at least he now has a son. Meanwhile, the breakfast van is ready and they celebrate by driving around in it. As they wait at an intersection, Dao Ming Si sees Ching Her and calls out to him. Ye Sha asks him why he remembers Ching Her when they never saw each other after the accident and Ah Si realizes his head did not even ache. Ching Her believes that Ah Si must have recovered his memory and goes to tell Shan Cai, which Dao Ming Feng's secretary overhears. Ah Si later confirms to Shan Cai that he has not regained his memory but does not know why he remembers Ching Her. He asks her to lunch but is waylaid by Dao Ming Feng who tells Ah Si that Shan Cai is trying pathetically to get him back. He does not want to believe her and leaves angrily. Mei Zhuo is bored and gets F4 together to hang out like old times. Xi Men goads Mei Zhuo that he is bothered about his new girlfriend and asks why he does not like her, forcing Mei Zhuo to summon her. Ah Si doubts she will come and Xi Men tells him they can always make girls come to them; he has only failed with Ye Sha. They make a bet who has the more obedient "fiancee," but Ye Sha is with Shan Cai and refuses to meet them. F3 are uneasy with the news, so Ah Si asks why they do not like the idea of Shan Cai working for Dao Ming Corporation and they reply that they do not want to see her hurt. This makes Ah Si think about what his mother said. Xiao Qiao arrives and Mei Zhuo introduces her to F3, informing her that if they all fell into the sea, he would rescue F3 first. Xiao Qiao tells him she does not mind that because she can swim. F3 tell her in turn that they can all swim also and all Mei Zhuo has to worry about is saving himself. Mei Zhuo still acts obnoxious to her by calling her his 101st girlfriend and rudely kissing her.


Episode 23

Xiao Qiao apologizes to F3 that she has to leave right away and Xi Men forces Mei Zhuo to see her off. Ah Si is appalled by his behavior and but Lei points out that Mei Zhuo must be in love if he does not know how to handle a girl. Before she leaves him, Xiao Qiao slaps Mei Zhuo, then tells him to pick her up the next day, stunning Mei Zhuo further. Meanwhile, Ye Sha and Shan Cai buy books and look at a travel book with pictures of cities from all over the world. They come to Barcelona and Shan Cai says she would like to go back soon. Ye Sha then asks if the meteor ring belongs to her and Shan Cai admits that all she knows is Ah Si asked to meet her at the church while he went to buy the ring. She smiles as her word trail. Ye Sha realizes that Ah Si was going to propose to Shan Cai. She decides to be more aggressive in pushing Shan Cai and Ah Si to each other.

Mimi has convinced Ching Her that he must be the key to Dao Ming Si's memories so he writes an essay about the Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si love story. Meanwhile, Ye Sha exchanges phones with Shan Cai with a recording of Ah Si yelling "Idiot, answer the phone!" set as a ringtone. Ah Si hears the ringtone with Shan Cai and is further bothered when Ching Her and Mimi force him to listen to Ching Her's essay. Slowly, some of his memories resurface and when he goes to the hospital for a check up, he is told that the gore in his brain is dissolving. He asks Ye Sha to travel with him but she ignores his requests and gives him a book about memory and he angrily believes that Shan Cai has put everyone up to helping her win him back. He confronts her about it and upsets her because it means he has totally forgotten what kind of person she is. He upsets her even more when he tells her that even if he remembers everything, he will still forget her. Ching Her and Mimi ask Ye Sha's help and they plan to go swimming with Shan Cai, to which Ah Si agrees to begrudgingly.


Episode 24

At the poolside, Dao Ming Si is still cold to Shan Cai, Mimi, and Ching Her. This prompts Shan Cai to tell Ye Sha that she has finally decided to give up on Ah Si. Ching Her goads Ah Si into competing with him in swimming the way they used to. While underwater, Ah Si sees something shining at the bottom of the pool and tries to reach for it. It turns out to be a coin but a flashback hits him where he is reaching for a ring on the floor of a car and suddenly a car is coming towards him. Ah Si is overwhelmed by the vision that his head pounds again and he drowns. Ye Sha jumps in to save him and they take him to the hospital. Dao Ming Feng blames Shan Cai for this and later reprimands Ye Sha for keeping her true feelings from Ah Si for Shan Cai's sake.

Meanwhile, Ah Si starts to remember everything. When he wakes up, he imagines that it is Shan Cai sleeping by his bed and as he reaches for her, he realizes it is Ye Sha. Then Shan Cai enters the room and Ah Si is so distraught that he asks them to let him rest alone. Then, he leaves the hospital and goes to Popo's apartment to think over everything that has happened, more importantly, what to do about Shan Cai and Ye Sha. Everyone is frantically searching for him, and Ye Sha is so relieved to see him walking home to the Dao Ming mansion that she tells him she loves him and kisses him. Shan Cai sees the kiss and, her heart breaking, runs away.


Episode 25

Ye Sha and Shan Cai meet each other to go bowling. Ye Sha admits that she has fallen in love with Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai tells her she knows this and she has decided to give up on winning Ah Si's love. Depressed, Shan Cai secretly flees Taipei, but unfortunately, she loses her wallet on the train. She accuses a man who bumped into her of stealing her wallet. The man, Ah De, denies stealing it. His sister Ah Mei see them fighting and thinking that Shan Cai is Ah De's girlfriend, picks a fight with Shan Cai. They eventually clear everything up and Ah Mei offers Shan Cai to stay at their house for a while.

Mei Zhuo takes Xiao Qiao by the river. Since she is overprotective of her cello, he teases that maybe she should date her cello instead. Xiao Qiao tells him that she had once fallen in love with a boy before she left for the US; when she played her cello, she poured into it all her unrequited love. Mei Zhuo tells her he might be jealous, prompting Xiao Qiao to throw her cello into the river. Mei Zhuo dives in to rescue it. He later asks Lei at a dinner party to help him get the cello fixed. Xi Men teases Mei Zhuo that he is so far gone in love and persuades Ah Si to side with him but Ah Si is lost in his own thoughts. They find out that Shan Cai had left without telling them and Ah Si tries to hide his feelings. Xi Men and Mei Zhuo debate whether they do something to get her back while Lei goes off by himself to look for her. Meanwhile, Shan Cai's wallet is discovered on the train, helping Lei find Shan Cai.

Lei shows up at Ah Mei's ice shop and he takes Shan Cai to a cottage he rented in the same town. He tries to pay Ah Mei for taking care of Shan Cai; when she finally agrees, he tells her to keep the change, but Ah Mei refuses to be beholden to anyone.


Episode 26

Ah Mei and Ah De resolve their differences, as Ah De promises that he wants to be a better man. Meanwhile, Dao Ming Si is troubled that Ye Sha and his mother seem to be on friendlier terms. He tells his friends at the breakfast van that he has finally regained his memory and does not know what to do as he had already promised both women he would love them forever. Yi Ling tells Ah Si not to tell anyone about his memory yet, until he figures out whom he really loves as he may lose both Shan Cai and Ye Sha. In the province, Shan Cai makes dinner for Ah De and Ah Mei to thank them for all their help and spends the day in preparations with Lei, even helping an old lady sell vegetables. Lei buys Shan Cai flowers from his earnings as a vegetable vendor and Shan Cai feels that her luck is not that bad after all.

Lei happens on the master violin maker collecting wood in the forest and immediately calls Mei Zhuo to bring Xiao Qiao's cello. It is fixable and Lei plays a tune on a violin to celebrate while Xiao Qiao accompanies him on her cello. Ah Mei is smitten by Lei while Shan Cai notices that Mei Zhuo is in love with Xiao Qiao. Before they leave, Lei asks Mei Zhuo to keep their whereabouts secret as Shan Cai still needs time to heal. Shan Cai tells Mei Zhuo that Xiao Qiao is a great girl, while Mei Zhuo tells her that Lei is also a great guy. He tells Lei and Shan Cai to take care of each other but hopes Shan Cai can come back home soon because they all miss her. Meanwhile, Ah Mei has decided to ask Lei to be her boyfriend.


Episode 27

Ah Mei wakes up a sleeping Hua Ze Lei and announces that he has the honor to be her boyfriend. Lei sleepily tells her that he is not interested in her. As Ah Mei storms out, Shan Cai disparages him while he teases her that he would agree to be her boyfriend if she wants him. Later, Lei finds Ah Mei throwing a tantrum at the beach and convinces her that they are not in love with each other. Ah Mei then makes him admit that he is in love with Shan Chai.

Ah Si tells Sha Ge that he has regained his memory and that he knows that he is in love with Shan Cai. Sha Ge pleads with him not to tell Ye Sha because she has suffered so much for Ah Si, finally revealing that she is dying. Ah Si rushes to Ye Sha to confirm it, arriving just as Ye Sha has a pain attack. As he gives her medicine and puts her in bed, he disparages her about not telling him about her illness and she tells him she loves him so much she does not want to give her back to Shan Cai anymore. Ah De, Lei, and Shan Cai throw a surprise birthday party for Ah Mei. Ah De gives her a ring, which looks like the meteor ring Shan Cai saw in Barcelona. When they are alone, Shan Cai asks him about it and tells him that if it is not the same ring, it is almost exactly like the ring her boyfriend must have bought from Barcelona but was stolen from him. Ah De is stunned at the coincidence. Lei hears the entire conversation.

Ah Si brings Ye Sha to the doctor and he says they may have a bone marrow donor for a transplant; the three are happy and hopeful for Ye Sha's recovery. Meanwhile, the police shows up at Ah Mei's ice shop and arrest Ah De.


Episode 28

Lei helps Ah De out of prison. Ah Mei refuses to be beholden to anyone and proposes to set up her ice shop as payment. Lei instead asks for the meteor ring. In a bar in Taipei, Xi Men goads Mei Zhuo about being in love, which Mei Zhuo denies. Infuriated, Ah Si calls Mei Zhuo an idiot. It stuns the two, who laugh that it scared them that the old Ah Si is back. Ah Si asks why it would be bad for the old Ah Si to resurface and the two agree that it would complicate the new relationship between Lei and Shan Cai. Overwhelmed, Ah Si leaves and decides to look for Lei and Shan Cai. He checks on Ye Sha first and gives her medicine. He is unable to look at her as she happily declares that drinking her medicine will give her 300 years more to live with him.

While walking on a mountain road, Lei gives Shan Cai the meteor ring, which she throws away, saying the story for that ring is now over. Unknown to them, the ring lands on a nearby bridge, right at Ah Si's feet. Lei asks Shan Cai to go to Japan with him and kisses her. Ah Si sees this and runs away. When Lei and Shan Cai arrive home, they discover that Ah Si had come looking for them. Lei confirms that Ah Si has regained his memories and leaves him and Shan Cai alone together. Dao Ming Si confesses to Shan Cai that it has never been clearer than now that it is she he loves. Shan Cai says that they must let fate decide and proposes that if they see a falling star that night, then they should be together, never mind if they hurt Lei and Ye Sha. But none fall. At daybreak, Shan Cai gets up but Ah Si tells her he does not accept it. He gives her the meteor ring she threw away just a few hours ago. He also reminds her that she has never told him she loves him. As he walks away from her, Shan Cai weepily shouts "Dao Ming Si, I love you!" The two are too despaired that they do not notice a meteor storm suddenly filling the sky.


Episode 29

Dao Ming Si returns home to discover that Ye Sha's transplant is unsuccessful. He decides to take her on that trip around the world he promised her. Ah Si notifies his mother and gets angry as she admits to the three-month deal she made with Ye Sha. As he leaves, she tells him that Shan Cai has resigned from the Dao Ming Corporation. Xi Men and Mei Zhuo catch Ah Si before he leaves and make him admit to recovering his memory. They agree that no matter where any of them are, F4 will endure.

Three months later, Shan Cai is working for a travel agency. Mimi works there part-time. Shan Cai loves to arrange trips for her customers because when they return with news of their travels, she gets a feel of what Ah Si and Ye Sha must be doing. She is looking forward to heading a tour group to Japan, where she can be with Lei. Lei and Ah Mei meet up in Taipei while Lei visits Shan Cai. She asks him why he would not go after Shan Cai and he explains that the story between Shan Cai and Ah Si is far from over. Ching Her discovers that Mimi also works in a nightclub as a ledge dancer. She confesses that she has to work hard because she does not have a father, she only lied about him because she does not want Ching Her to hate her. Ching Her promises to take care of Mimi because she is his friend. Mei Zhuo meanwhile has successfully returned Xiao Qiao's cello to her, good as new, just in time for her concert. They share their first kiss.

Lei is about to leave for Japan again and Xi Men and Mei Zhuo have a drink with him before he leaves. They discuss their friendship and Lei's with Ah Si. Xi Men tells him that no matter where they go, they will always return to Taipei, because it is home. Before he leaves, Lei tells Shan Cai that he will be her friend forever.


Episode 30

Ye Sha sends a letter to Sha Ge, telling him she knew Dao Ming Si has recovered his memory and she is grateful she had become part of their story as they have inspired her to live. She relates that she had a successful operation with a better matched donor and has returned home to Bhutan. She asks him to help Ah Si find Shan Cai and to thank God for how everything has turned out. At Xiao Qiao's concert, she dedicates her last song to her childhood love and Mei Zhuo is about to leave in a jealous rage. Then, he stops when he hears that the song is the same song he requested her to play from the first time they met: her childhood love turns out to be Mei Zhuo himself.

Dao Ming Si returns to Taipei and goes to his mansion, but only to get Ye Sha's painting of herself which she asked to be given to Sha Ge. Dao Ming Feng intercepts him as he leaves and he swears he turns his back on her forever. He meets up with Sha Ge to give him Ye Sha's painting. Sha Ge gives him the meteor ring he bought in Barcelona. He also surprises him with a dinner with F3. Thinking Lei and Shan Cai are together, Ah Si tries to ask Lei about her and gets angry when Lei says he left her to work in a travel agency in Taipei. Lei hits him and tells him that it is only because Ah Si is the only person who canmake her happy. He gives Ah Si a ticket and tells him to go to her. He tries to catch up with Shan Cai at the airport but does not find her. At the last minute, Shan Cai's tour group is switched; she is requested to take over a tour group in Barcelona. Once there, sitting in her taxi cab, she stares out the window and remembers all her memories of Dao Ming Si.


Episode 31

Shan Cai introduces Barcelona to her tour group,as if she had been in Barcelona all her life. She is very pulled together in the bus while talking to her tourists, but once she gets outside and looking at all the places she and Ah Si have been, she finds herself lost in her memories. They are given free time to watch the famous running of the bulls, but Shan Cai is accidentally pushed during the commotion. As she tries to get on her feet, a hand is reached out to help her out. As she takes it, she realizes that they are both wearing similar meteor rings.

It turns out to be Ah Si. They talk shyly and politely for a while, away from the crowd. Neither is able to say what they really want to say until the tour bus signals that it is time to leave. Shan Cai bids him goodbye and Ah Si wishes her well. As he watches her go, he realizes he cannot live without her and he may lose her forever. He runs after the bus as it drives away but it is too fast for him to catch up with. Then, he hears Shan Cai calling his name. She did not get on the bus after all.

They go to church in Barcelona and Shan Cai asks Ah Si what he is praying. Ah Si tells her is asking God to stop making jokes on them. She scolds him for being rude to God and he silences her with a kiss. He writes their names on the bench outside the church, free of the curse of the rings and ready to live their lives together, forever.
